Saturday, April 19, 2008This week is week zero and the new acedemic year starts next week. It is a busy week welcoming our Freshmen.The climax of the Freshmen Orientation is the Regatta at the Bedok reservoir. Cheers of never-ending "TP Oei" or "IIT Oei" and "Sart Sart Oei" thunders throughout the event. Even hours after the event ended, I can still hear pockets of the cheers from my office room quite a distance away.
Bumped into our FBI junior year student Surin in her cheering costume. I missed their earlier performance. Surin got Christine and Atiqah together for me to do a photoshoot.
Got to know a few of the FBI freshmen during the regatta - Winstar, Hisham and Ser Han from 206. I hope to know every new FBI student by face and by name. Going to be quite a challenge for my poor memory!
Our gals totally exhausted after the race. Two of our junior year gals Hariyani and Meiwei all smiles after taking a good rest.
