Study Trip to Japan 2012 - Robosquare

We went to the Robo Square for the last site-seeing of the day. Everyone was astonished by how much technologies they had within that shop. There was even a human-sized gundam displayed outside. (See below for the photos)

All of us went in and tried the different technologies that they contained. One particular technology that caught our eyes was “Aibo” the robot dog. You can request the dog to do something by simply asking it verbally. Example: Hello, go right, sit.Aibo could even automatically detect its favourite bone and picked it with its mouth.For its signature move, we asked Aibo to make a dance for us and it was magnificent.

As for the last activity of the Robo Square event, we managed to catch the robot performance. The performance was spectacular! We were amazed by the coordination of the robots lining up together to make the best dance formation. Dancing to the beat of the music, they displayed wonderful dance moves.


What shocked us all was how the robots were able to continue dancing with their heads on the ground.

With that, we ended our day and everyone had enjoyed the activities.
